The Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 has rewritten the rules for corporate governance, disclosure and reporting. This section of the Act will be far reaching and will impact both public and private companies. Sarbanes-Oxley makes CEO's and CFO's explicitly responsible for establishing, evaluating, and monitoring the effectiveness of internal control over financial reporting and disclosures. These new and proposed SEC rules are undeniably complicated, and implementation will be both time consuming and costly.

To assist you in planning your approach to Section 404 of the Act and recommend best practices to your company, Deloitte & Touche and the Massachusetts Software & Internet Council are proud to present a panel of experts on Internal Controls - Requirements of Section 404 of Sarbanes-Oxley. The program will provide an overview of Section 404 relating to internal controls and its impact on a company's financial reporting and what it means for private companies relating to exit strategies and other liquidity events. In addition, discussion will focus on what the regulation means to Company's and to the investment community.

This program will be moderated by David Elsbree, Partner, Technology Media & Telecommunications Practice, Deloitte & Touche. Panelists include:
