Now in its eleventh year, the conference has developed a solid reputation as a "must attend" event among investors who want firsthand information about some of the most exciting private companies in the region's technology pipeline. Each year, this event draws approximately 200 angel investors, venture capitalists, private equity investors, and investment bankers from across the country. Previous conferences were filmed and reported on by CNN and The News Hour with Jim Lehrer.

CONFERENCE OVERVIEW

The 2005 Investment Conference will provide technology companies with the chance to meet investors and demonstrate products face-to-face. There are several benefits for this year's presenting companies:

BEFORE THE CONFERENCE

  • Individual coaching to assist companies develop their presentations and prepare for the conference
  • Publicity for presenting companies through a multi-faceted marketing campaign aimed at the investment community
  • Two mandatory prep sessions that will enhance each company's conference experience, not to mention thoroughly prepare the presenter for what is to be expected the day of the event

    AT THE CONFERENCE

  • Throughout the course of the day, presenting companies will make ten minute presentations to potential investors about their company
  • Breakfast, lunch, and coffee breaks will provide ample time for networking with conference attendees
  • During the breakfast demo session, investors will have the opportunity to view tabletop displays by presenting companies, allowing them to identify key prospects before the presentations begin
  • All attendees will receive a conference notebook, including full-page descriptions of each company and attendee lists; this invaluable information will make post-conference follow up quicker and less tedious

    AFTER THE CONFERENCE

  • Companies will be invited to participate in post-conference networking events

    APPLICATION GUIDELINES:

  • Presenter MUST be the President, CEO, Chairperson or Founder of the company
  • Only ONE presenter per company
  • Company must have an office in New England
  • Company must be privately held
  • Company must be focused on the technology industry
  • Presenter MUST attend two morning prep sessions: March 2 and March 8
  • Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
