Join moderator and marketing veteran Mike Kinkead, CEO, TIMEblaster, for another lively discussion about marketing and communications strategies that will work in today's environment.

Creating momentum and rising above the noise to gain the attention of customers, industry pundits and press is becoming increasingly difficult. Traditional marketing tactics are no longer effective, and to make this task even more challenging, budgets are strained. In emerging technology companies, the marketing budget is viewed as the largest discretionary expense item, and it takes a hit every quarter when the revenue number isn't achieved. Despite these dips and turns, there are several core marketing and communications strategies that need to be deployed to gain leadership momentum in a market.

This session will focus on marketing and communications strategies that work in today's climate. These strategies will enable you to create a story that cuts through the clutter and that helps you build a leadership position in your industry. We will explore the tactics that will give you the biggest bang for your marketing dollar to accelerate revenue growth for your business.

To present and discuss the marketing and communications strategies that work, the March Sales & Marketing Roundtable will have the help of an outstanding marketing and communications practitioner, Lisa Allocca, co-founder and Principal of Red Javelin Communications, Inc., who will explain the marketing and communications tools of the trade, describe how these tools impact the sales cycle, and reveal the five strategies that work to build a leadership position in an industry. Lisa has over 19 years of marketing and communications experience in emerging technology companies and a strong knowledge of the networking and infrastructure industries. Prior to co-founding Red Javelin Communications, Lisa was with Charles River Ventures where she helped start-ups develop their value propositions, messaging, market entry strategies and launch plans. Prior to CRV, Lisa served as Vice President of Market Strategy and Solutions for Unisphere Networks.

After Lisa's interactive presentation, we will ask all Roundtable participants to solve a special Roundtable Member Case. At the end of the case conversation by the March Roundtable participants, Lisa will present her solution to the case.

Please come prepared to contribute your insights as Lisa Allocca discusses her approach to using marketing and communications strategies and tactics to build a leadership position. Then apply your experience to help one of our Roundtable members solve a particularly challenging marketing and communications problem. As always, we expect that the March Roundtable will be full of insights, and lively, productive and creative conversation from everyone!
