Silicon Valley Bank and Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault.

Join us for an informative program focused on strategies and tactics for expanding the reach of your business and/or achieving liquidity through strategic combinations, mergers and trade sales. For the third installment of the Access to Capital series, Moderator Mike Conza, Partner, Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault, has assembled two distinct panels to discuss how to prepare for and manage through this critical phase in the life of your business.

The first panel will include CEOs and venture capitalists who have managed software companies through recently closed transactions. These panelists will explore with attendees how they attracted the interest of potential acquirers and drove the process through to completion. To complement this sell-side perspective, the panel will include an investment banker with extensive experience in acting as a financial advisor to software companies looking to achieve scale and liquidity through strategic combinations, mergers and trade sales. Panelists to include:

  • Larry Bohn, Managing Director, General Catalyst Partners
  • Jason Auerbach, Managing Director, Broadview

After a networking break, the program will resume with a panel of corporate/business development and investment banking professionals who will share valuable insights from the buy side. This second panel wills share their perspective on the myriad factors that affect the decision to invest/acquire:

  • time to market
  • market size
  • technology risk
  • competitive landscape
  • protectable IP
From the basic "go or no go" decision to the arguably more subjective issue of valuation, learn what these experienced acquirers look for and where they look for it. Panelists to include:
  • Brian Truesdale, Director, Technology Group Investment Banking, Deutsche Bank
  • Avner Schneur, President and CEO, Emptoris, Inc.
  • Michael Cristinziano, Vice President, Strategic Development, Citrix

Cost: Members
$60.00
Non-members
$100.00
The event is over.
