What does it take to create a successful software company? Higher sales and marketing expenditures? Spending more on R&D? First-mover advantage?
Forget everything you think you know about building a great software company and look at the real world data. VCs with Bain Capital Ventures, led by Jeffrey Crisan and James Nahirny, analyzed financial results from 1990 through 1998 for 304 publicly-held software companies and came up with some startling observations. Their work was recently summarized in the Sloan Management Review. Please join us at Bain Capital Ventures where Mssrs. Crisan, Nahirny and their colleagues will share the results and implications of their study.
