This session, hosted and led by senior audit professionals at KPMG, will include an overview of the software revenue recognition rules, specifically SOP 97-2, 98-9 and related guidance, including Emerging Issues Task Force Consensus 00-21 on Revenue Arrangements with Multiple Deliverables.

In addition, there will be discussion of what new's in the rulemaking area and new developments in practice as well as an overview of common pitfalls. The session will also include presentations from a panel of three local software company finance executives who will provide an overview of their revenue models and the practical issues they commonly face. In addition, there will be Q&A sessions in connection with the overview and panel discussions to address audience concerns.
