The Roundtable is led by Council Trustee Bill Warner, mentor and investor for several local entrepreneurs and founder of Avid Technology and Wildfire Communications. Bill is working on a book whose working title is "Intention and Invention" Bill will help the attendees apply practices from the book to their startup or existing company.
In this six-session roundtable, you will learn to understand your own intentions in starting the company, and learn how to translate these intentions into the design of your company. If your company needs some re-design, we will explore your intentions as well as the intentions your company already has, and how its current design fulfills these or does not. Then we'll look at how you can change your company design to go where you intend.
The first session will review the concept of a "fabric of intention". This is the combination of the intentions you bring to the company, those that are in the company itself, and those of its customers, employees, and stockholders. You'll find that thinking at the level of intention is even higher than strategic planning...and much easier to do. From this your strategic and specific plans will emerge naturally.
